Centre for Learning

General Introduction

Lutheran Community Care is a not – for – profit organisation that provides a range of caring and professional services to individuals, families, community and church groups through education and welfare programs.

The Centre for Learning was opened by Lutheran Community Care in February 2008 to offer training courses in relationship education, counselling and community education. We also offer the opportunity to experience personal growth and insight through our counselling services and participation in the Family Relationship Service program. This program supports families and has a focus on working closely with children and parents as well as a focus on men in family relationships. We also coordinate and train volunteers for the Community Visitors Scheme.

Our work is made possible by generous donations from our financial supporters and also the partnerships we have developed with government and non-government agencies. The cost of the courses varies depending on funding arrangements with government and other agencies. For example, In Couple and Family Relationships courses, some funding is provided by the Commonwealth Department of Families, Housing and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and also by the State government through Families SA. The provision of government funding means that these courses are provided at greatly reduced cost to participants.

We hope you enjoy discovering the many learning experiences available through the Centre for Learning at Lutheran Community Care.
