This is a weekend retreat for creating community and conversation amongst men.
Celebrating Manhood began in 2004 to create a space where men could share their experiences and questions in a fun and supportive environment. Since then 20 to 25 men have come together twice a year. It's a space where we share our questions and stories to whatever degree we're comfortable. There is always a profound shared experience of the strength, humour and passion that we as men bring to each other and the world.
We have a diverse range of participants including builders, gardeners, doctors, counselors, pastors, artists, carers, drivers, architects and geologists who come along and all are equal in the conversation.
While many have commented on the energizing and healing quality of the weekends we do not practice "therapy". We encourage listening and respect for each man's unique story and style.

While supported and partly facilitated by the Centre for Learning "Celebrating Manhood" exists as an independent entity. It does not carry a specific secular or religious agenda but is as diverse as its participants.
Your hosts Garry, Geoff, Martin and Peter meet regularly throughout the year to plan upcoming weekends, without imposing a theme.
The weekend includes discussions, artistic work, evening fires & shared meals.
Unplug from your routines and come along!
