Family Relationship Service
Our focus is to strengthen family relationships using approaches that consider the whole family – children as well as adults are included in some sessions so that needs of every family member can be taken into account.
The service provides support for families dealing with difficulties in their lives – whether it is related to stress, pressures of modern living, parenting issues, conflict or relationship breakdown.
Aims:
- Building stronger family relationships through early intervention
- Assisting families to deal with conflicts and difficulties
- Promoting positive parenting and communication
- Supporting men in family relationships
- Assisting families and individuals to build problem solving skills
- Supporting families going through separation or family breakdown
How can we help?
Our services include a mix of counselling, education and information about other services. We tailor our service to each family’s needs.
Our service provides: education and skills training; counselling for children and adults in families; parenting support for individuals and groups; support for men in family relationships; marriage and relationship education and referral to other services.
Fees for Counselling Service and Family Relationship Service
Lutheran community Care endeavors to provide effective counselling and a range of services through the Family Relationship Service. The fees for each session are based on family income and are listed below.
If cost is a problem, please discuss this with the counsellor. Lutheran Community Care has a policy of waiving or reducing fees where there is an inability to pay.

The Family Relationship Service program is funded by the Australian Government.
Lutheran Community Care is funded for this program in the Adelaide region (which covers part of the metropolitan area and the Adelaide Hills, Murray Mallee and part of the Riverland) the Barossa, Mid-North and Yorke Peninsula. |
