Communities for Children is part of the Family Support Program forMurray Bridge and surrounding communities, Callington, Mannum and Tailem Bend.

The program focuses on:

• early intervention
• community capacity building
• creating a sense of place and space for families
• providing information to families and the broader community
• enhancing the social and emotional well being of children 0 - 12 years and their families.

A range of Communities for Children events will also be staged in the four communities.

A local resource booklet has been developed detailing all the available services in these communities for families with young children.

These booklets are available from the local Visitor Information centres, local council offices as well as from Lutheran Community Care in Murray Bridge.

The Play Spaces project invites parents, grandparents, caregivers, business, service organisations, service providers, community groups and community members to become involved in building family friendly spaces in the community.
