Families in Housing SA accommodation who find themselves in circumstances that may lead them to become homeless are able to use this service.

Our Early Intervention Workers offer practical assistance, advocacy, advice and other appropriate supports to help the family maintain and sustain their current housing and prevent them from entering the homelessness cycle.

The Early Intervention team do not provide housing for families but they can provide support such as mediation and advocacy with Housing SA and the Residential Tenancies Tribunal on behalf of the family at risk.

If a family becomes homeless they are then required to go through the appropriate channels to obtain support as a homeless family.
