Support Group
This is a group of mothers who are expecting their first child, or who have
their first baby, and have come together to develop a friendship
network and learn from professional guest speakers about services
they can access.
This group is supported by church volunteers and encourages those
who may not have a great deal of family support to come along.
Young girls who find themselves isolated from their friends and
social activities because of their pregnancy are welcome to enquire
and join the group.
Coffee and nibbles are available, and transport may be provided
in wet weather or if necessary. Links have been established with
the Maternity section of the hospital for individual pre-natal
classes for this group as well as other professionals to assist
with the safe delivery of baby.
