What is Supported Accommodation?

Supported Accommodation means the family agrees to be supported by a Family Support Worker to -

  • Develop a support plan to cover areas of;
    • Housing
    • Medical
    • Financial
    • Social
    • Emotional
    • Spiritual
  • Attend regular appointments with your support worker
  • Seek housing options
  • Budgeting assistance
  • Support for family and social structure

Our service provides support to the individuals in families to assist them in achieving their desired goals in relation to the issues listed above. Support is offered in the form of practical assistance, counselling, advocacy, linking the client in with community services who specialise in certain areas of support in an effort to provide the best outcome for clients while they are in our service and in any other appropriate way necessary. Our desire is to provide an environment where clients can find stability in their circumstances and work through the issues that have led to their homelessness.
